East Africa: High EAC Marine Deaths Preventable

Of late sorrow and desperation of East African people dependent on seagoing vessels, particularly the latest marine incident which claimed over 200 known lives when MV Spice Islanders capsized between Zanzibar’s main island of Unguja and Pemba. It was a sad spectacle to see bodies being fished out the sea. Over 600 others were saved and hundreds more missing.
